Java Runtime

eParapher requires JRE 1.5 minimum, which is now usually bundled with you operating system.

You can verify here which java version is installed on your computer.
You can download/use Sun's JRE or IBM Linux JRE.

Open Office

If you want eParapher to convert into PDF your Microsoft Office (word, excel, power point) and/or Open Office files, please download and install Open office.

If you can't install applications due to rights restrictions, you can use a portable version with eparapher.

Get your personal certificate

To generate digital signature, you need a certificate and it's private key.

There is different cases :

• If you already have an X509 certificate, then you can continue.
  If you have more than one certificate in your keystore, then you must select a default certificate.
• If you don't, create a self signed certificate with eParapher :
  • go to window -> open perspective
  • on user certificate , click on the new certificate icon .
  • after field feeding, enter twice the new private key secret.

From here, we suppose that you have a certificate.

Open Office directory

To configure open office directory in eParapher preferences :

• Go to Edit -> Preferences
• click browse on Open Office location and select the folder that contain the soffice file.
